Free local mechanic hand-off
Choose a bike and its pending OpenBikeFit plans. The generator freezes each saved reversal baseline and target, requires exact model-specific component references, and produces a readable hand-off with blank installation and final-measurement fields.
This is a practical instruction hand-off, not a receipt or proof. It never invents torque, confirms compatibility, marks installation complete or says a target is safe or comfortable.

The order stops before the wrench turns
Exact hardware work belongs to the exact component procedure
The work order carries the frozen baseline and requested target. A qualified mechanic still verifies compatibility, clamp engagement, bolt sequence, torque source and function before recording the physical result.
Local bike and journal reader
Only pending adjustment plans on this device are eligible. The generator freezes their saved baselines and targets, then checks current model-specific component references before creating a hand-off.
Visible workflow
Select the bike whose pending adjustment plans should be handed to a mechanic. A valid ?bike= link preselects only a profile that actually exists in this browser.
Choose saved cleat, saddle, hood, stem/spacer or bike-transfer work. Completed, stopped, corrupt or already installed tasks are not turned into new installation orders.
For each affected component, record the exact manufacturer, model, model-specific procedure and torque source in My Bikes. Missing, ambiguous or unreadable references block generation.
Generate a work order with the saved reversal baselines, targets, source links and blank mechanic/final-measurement fields, then print it or download deterministic JSON or CSV.
Exact input, deliberately blank outcome
A task can come from a pending cleat, saddle fore–aft, saddle tilt, hood, stem/spacer or bike-to-bike transfer workflow. Its journal entry supplies the immutable baseline, requested target, measurement definition and source page to resume later.
Current hardware references come from the selected bike passport. Every affected component slot needs an exact manufacturer and model plus the rider-supplied model-specific procedure and torque source. OpenBikeFit preserves those references but does not verify the linked manual or copy a universal torque value into the order.
After physical work, the mechanic can write the exact procedure revision, applied torque and function checks in the blank fields. A fresh repeated measurement still belongs in the original adjustment workflow before the rider keeps, reverts or stops the trial.
Mechanic judgment and safety override the target
Stop if the exact manual, component identity, clamp zone, rail/steerer engagement, cable or hose routing, fastener condition or component compatibility is uncertain. The mechanic may decline or redefine the installation route; the target stays an input, not a safety verdict.
Stop fitting for pain, persistent numbness, weakness, circulation warning signs, instability, loss of control or any unsafe mechanical condition. OpenBikeFit does not diagnose, treat, prescribe or replace a qualified mechanic, fitter or healthcare professional.
Local-first by default
The page reads bike profiles and journal entries from IndexedDB on this device. It does not create an account, upload the selected data or write a completion event. Printing uses the browser print dialog; downloaded JSON and CSV leave OpenBikeFit only when you choose where to store or share them. See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for the maintained product baseline.
