Most contact-point and joint discomfort has a mechanical component that a thoughtful fit can improve. But not all of it does. That's exactly why this app screens for warning signs first and is willing to say 'this needs a human'.

The goal isn't to toughen up. It's to ride comfortably for as long as you want to.
